Using a 20-year
old satellite dish with all new electronics, we acquired data from
the first overflight of the Hector Mine earthquake area by the ERS-2 satellite.
The first interferogram below was posted 4 days after the earthquake and
just 19 hours after the ERS-2 overflight. The ERS-2 SAR data were acquired,
processed, and interpreted at IGPP demonstrating near real-time SAR imaging
of tectonic deformations. The .pdf files below have accurate co-ordinate
information and may be used to map faults on the ground. For more information
