November 18, 2015 David, I apologize for never getting back to you with the strain solution I promised. Hopefully it is not too late. I am attaching the solution I told you about that I computed some time back. It is based on the UCERF-3 velocity field. I transformed that velocity field into a Pacific Plate frame. The velocities are strain rates are provided in attached files. The order is a bit odd. The grid was 0.1x0.1 degrees, but the values are put out based on the centroid of the quarter boxes within each grid. So they are not output in perfect rows. I can re-do this if it matters. I have not used the solution in the areas of parts of the Eastern California Shear zone, but glancing at the second invariant plot that I just made, there may be a bad data point there (or a set of them). I have not looked into it. The format for the strain rates (x10^-9 yr^-1) is long, lat, exx, eyy, exy The format for the velocities (relative to Pacific Plate) is long, lat, Ve, Vy. Remaining rows are for model uncertainties, which I did not print out. Let me know if you have any questions. Regards, Bill Holt
